Nextstep privacy and data handling

This page describes how the Nextstep application handles information. Creating an account stores your name, email address and authentication records. Passwords are hashed; signed-in access uses an HTTP-only session cookie. A connected sign-in provider participates in authentication when you choose that option. The application also stores preferences and approximate account activity used to operate the service.

Workspace data

The service stores the applications, job descriptions, notes, contacts, dates and follow-up logs you choose to enter. Application access is checked against the signed-in account. Public documentation, product metadata and sandbox endpoints do not expose these records. Browser storage remembers interface preferences. Use the application’s CSV export when you want a copy of your application records.

Optional features and service providers

If you use the assistant, your messages, attachments and relevant workspace information may be sent to the AI provider configured by the site administrator and stored as conversation history. Public job-link imports request the job website without forwarding your Nextstep session. Verification, password-reset and feedback notification emails use the configured email service. Feedback and screenshots are stored for administrators; email notification copies may also exist outside the application database.

Questions about your information

Share only information needed for your job search and remove unnecessary sensitive details from screenshots and feedback. Ask about account data or deletion through the contact route below. The operator has not yet published a complete retention schedule or backup deletion timeline. This technical description does not promise a retention period or automatic deletion of provider email copies; those operational details need confirmation from the operator.
